Seido, a very active Youtube channel, which focuses on Japanese budo, classical martial arts and Japanese artisanry, asked me for an interview. I was really surprised, as they generally tend to do videos with martial arts masters, or people much higher in the food chain. At that time (end of 2017) there were not many foreigners practicing jukendo and tankendo (it has changed dramatically since), and not much documentation available on the topic, even in Japan. So it was perhaps easier to approach me in order to talk about the two less known martial arts of the 9 Japanese Budo.
The interview was conducted in French, but English subtitles are available. We talk about jukendo and tankendo of course, but also take a look at many aspects of Japanese martial culture.
